Inside the castle walls, students return to the familiar routine of the school year; 9am classes, and dorm room gossip, while outside the castle walls the world becomes more and more unpredictable. War is looming. Terror is lurking. Fear is waiting. And one man can not keep reality from breaching the walls... Now everyone is being pressured to pick sides...
Each year, it is the job of the Hogwarts Prefects and Head Students to plan and organize events around the school.
This Halloween, they have opted for a Haunted House experience on the grounds!
Upon exiting the castle, you will be greeted by a low lying fog, separating into a clear path
that leads you to a dilapidated house, with the trees of the Forbidden forest looming behind it.
Many horrors await you inside of the Haunted House of Horrors!
There is, of course, a catch! The Marauders (courtesy of the fact that James and Remus have been involved in the planning!)
have taken this opportunity to add a few extra tricks, treats, and scares to the house, so tread carefully within.
This is, optionally, a dice game to keep things exciting! More info will be provided.
Giant Pumpkin Carving!
It simply wouldn't be Halloween without Hagrid's giant pumpkins! This year, however, it's up to the students to get
involved in carving some pumpkins up. Battle through the fog and make your way to the Gamekeeper's Hut - you'll
recognize it for it's orange glow. All the tools and carving equpitment you need are waiting for you, so don't
miss your chance to create a pumpkin masterpiece!
Candy Costume Party!
Halloween requires costumes. It also requires sweets and candy. Therefore, it's only right we throw a candy costume party!
This year, Honeydukes are providing the treats - all of your familiar favorites and a few new, slightly bizarre ones
to try out.
Slugs, Bugs, Warts, and Bones, whether you want a Slimy Slug Sour, or a Freaky Finger Fruit Pop, Honeydukes
has provided everything your could ask for!
So put on your best costume and work up a sweet tooth, then join us in the Great Hall for a Sugar and Spice,
All Things Scary and Nice Candy Costume Dance!

Elizabeth is a shy Hufflepuff who basically wants to keep her head down and do well in school. She's always gone along with what other people want from her, but now that she's befriended Raphael Dane, she's started to explore her rebellious side a bit more. It scares her, but she's also pretty excited.
Elizabeth tends to keep to herself, and the friends she does have would likely be study buddies or people who don't mind that she's quiet and doesn't do much. Now that Raphael's pulling her out of her shell, she'll start to open up a little, but that will take some time, and she probably won't associate much with the serious troublemakers.
Elizabeth doesn't go much for the whole "enemies" thing; she's too reserved to bother anyone and too deliberately pleasant to hate anyone. The closest she might get are people who annoy her by talking too loudly or simply being jerks, and even then she'd likely ignore them.
If she could find a sweet boy who didn't mind the fact that she's basically a classical ingenue, Elizabeth would be perfectly happy dating and kissing someone. Now that she's starting to push her boundaries, she might even be willing to date someone who's not just sweet and tame, though it's likely she'd still try to find someone not too over the top.
James & Elizabeth I can't remember what we said there relationship was before... But, I think they'd be able to get along reasonably well these days, since James has matured quite a lot and is starting to knuckle down with his studies and stuff. Still a Marauder and a Prankster, but a little more mature all the same.
Raphael & Snogs He's the bad influence corrupting the once innocent sweetheart with forbidden locations, alcohol, and random snogs.... These two can only get better from here!
Dominique & Elizabeth I don't think Dominique would ever have paid much attention to her, but as she starts to be less... 'quietly innocent', Dominique might take notice of her. Not quite sure what she'd make of her though.
CJ & Elizabeth These two will no doubt cross paths in the library from time to time. Despite trying to be one of the 'cool' kids a lot, it doesn't actually stop him from talking to just about anyone he wants to. Plus, he tends to turn up to the nerdy clubs and just deny it ever happening. He... might throw in the occasional flirt, seeing as he's 14 and hormones have really hit hard.
Curtis & Elizabeth Bit of an age change... But, he's still a oddball and a loner, it's just worse with him being so young. There's probably still potential for something... He's the sort to hide out somewhere and either do homework or read or something.
Georgina & Elizabeth She's now an utterly sadistic eleven year old... She might be a whole lot younger than Elizabeth, but that won't stop her at all. She'll probably mock and sneer at her, and try and just generally be a horrible, bullying little brat.
Sven & Elizabeth Sven is a work-in-progress vampire who is like... ANCIENT. He's not particularly bothered about the lives of school children though, so it would probably take some sneaking out of school for any interaction to occur there.

Elizabeth and James
I'm not sure I had these two interacting at all last time around, but it might be interesting to see them together, especially with Elizabeth being pulled out of her shell a bit by Raphael. She'd be a little wary of his reputation, but a mixture of his gradual maturity and her gradual enjoyment of fun, they might at least have a pleasant acquaintance.
Elizabeth and Raphael
I'm glad we're continuing this beautiful friendship. These two are a lot of fun to write.
Elizabeth and Dominique
I feel like Elizabeth would try to befriend Dominique, both because Elizabeth's the sort of person who would try to be friendly with people and because hanging out with Raphael would make her bold enough to actually talk to a Slytherin. Of course, unless Dominique is openly friendly back, Elizabeth would probably retreat.
Elizabeth and CJ
They'd definitely run into each other at the library, but I can't promise Elizabeth would react smoothly to being flirted with. She'd probably end up getting rather flustered.
Elizabeth and Curtis
Given the new age difference, I'm tempted to try plotting Curtis and Bethany together, since she'd jump in to save him from being bullied whether he wanted help or not. As for him and Elizabeth... I can see it starting as one of those friendships where they find themselves sitting near each other in the library for a while before actually starting to talk to each other.
Elizabeth and Georgina
Oooh... this is interesting. Elizabeth would probably try to have some kind of authority at first; having lots of younger cousins means she's pretty sure she can handle young kids. If Georgina's really as evil as she seems, Elizabeth might well end up avoiding her and trying not to be embarrassed about the fact that she's hiding from a first year.
Elizabeth and Sven
I'm honestly not sure what Elizabeth would do if confronted with a vampire, but as for the sneaking out... well, give her a year and she might be up for a little night trip to Hogsmeade.
Elizabeth and Sirius You know what would be unfortunate for Elizabeth but awesome for everybody else? Dealing with Raphael and Sirius at the same time! Those two are a toxic blend. I expect he would be one of those that she avoided due to his status as a serious troublemaker, but if they were to come in contact it could be very interesting. He's outgoing enough, so her initial shyness would not phase him, and if he saw that she was susceptible to corruption, he'd snatch that up. He could really push her boundaries, and she could either resent it or accept it, either way could be fun.
Elizabeth and Addie I think we already have these two going on Addie's plotter <3 Study buddies, right?
Elizabeth and Dexter Eh... two shy folks... always hard to think up something between them, especially with the age and house difference between them. They're kind of similar in personality, in that they're shy but sweet, and they probably see each other in the library often, so maybe they'd be at least familiar with each other by face recognition. He probably wouldn't be as wary around her, because he knows she's studious and quiet like himself, but still quiet and awkward. Oooh, unless she was with Raphael when he was picking on Ravenclaws, and Dex happened to be the victim. Then he wouldn't have such a high impression of her.
Elizabeth and Charlie Just what you wanted... another vampire! Charlie has been secluded from the world for some time, because he hates most of humanity, but he's integrating himself back into it because he's now a Death Eater employed to wreak havoc on Muggles and Muggleborns. He's pretty good at blending in with humans, so she may not even know he's a vampire, but... yeah, I don't know where I'm going with this. I can't think of any specific interaction!
"You know what would be unfortunate for Elizabeth but awesome for everybody else? Dealing with Raphael and Sirius at the same time! "<<<------ THIS!!!
Elizabeth and James Maybe they interacted sometime a few years back when he was really immature, and she was very pre-RED days, and things went really badly, but if they run into each other again they'll realize that things have really changed?
Snogs and Raphael I am, too! I'm glad they're still in the same year. We need to get these two threading again. I've missed them.
Elizabeth and Dominique Dominique doesn't really respond well to anyone, but it would probably depend on the situation as to just how badly she reacts to her and how much of a b*tch she is towards her. Dominique and Hufflepuffs generally aren't a good combination, though.
Elizabeth and CJ He'd probably realize that it was a bad idea and apologize his way out of it, but still end up dropping lines without realizing it.
Elizabeth and Curtis Bethany probably makes more sense, especially with them being in the same house and everything. The library thing with these two would certainly work. She's quiet and studious, but friendly at the same time, so he'd probably consider her 'safe', especially if he needed help with something.
Elizabeth and Georgina Ooh, Georgina despises authority. Elizabeth would make herself a definite enemy if she tried it, which could be very interesting. The idea of a sixth year being afraid of a first year would amuse Georgie to no end.
Elizabeth and Sven We'll have to see how much of a bad influence Raphael can be on her!

Elizabeth and Sirius (and James)
She would certainly have avoided them pre-Raphael, but now... well, she'd still be a bit wary around Sirius, unless she had gotten to the point where she was willing to be more experimental. Depending on how subtle he is with the corruption, she might even end up thinking he's kind of fun.
As for James, I like that idea. The surprise might even come from both ends (though probably mostly Elizabeth's; I'm not sure how well James would remember some shy Hufflepuff girl).
Elizabeth and Addie
Study buddies sounds like a very good plan. I think Elizabeth could use a few quiet friends.
Elizabeth and Dexter
If they'd managed to meet before Elizabeth started hanging out with Raphael, she might try to stick up for him; I'm planning on having her develop a backbone in addition to a sense of fun. She still might, if he looks helpless enough and she thinks Raphael's going too far. Otherwise, they probably would just have that "Oh, I know you from around" relationship.
Elizabeth and Charlie
Yeah, nothing springs to mind unless you want to go for some kind of horror thread once she's bold enough to sneak off the grounds, and that likely won't be for a while.
Ryan Isaac Olsen (Araya Isa Olsen) Same house, two years age difference. Ryan prefers male pronouns and a male name, and does not identify as female despite being born one. Unfortunately, he's still stuck in the girls' dorm. He doesn't trust easily, and can give the cold shoulder to people, especially since most don't respect his identity and wont call him Ryan. He's discovered that alcohol, cigarettes, and self-harm all make good coping mechanism to get by each day. He tends to throw up barriers with people until he really gets to know them, and knows that they respect his identity for what it is, and won't make fun of him.

Elizabeth and Ryan
Elizabeth might not understand about Ryan's preferred pronouns at first, at least until he tells her about them, but if he gives her a chance, she'd be perfectly willing to be his friend and try to help him be happier. She wouldn't be much for defending him aside from trying to tell people off, but she'd never make fun of him or let any of her other friends do the same.
These two sound like they could be fun to thread out. He'd explain, but possibly assume that she was going to just think he was crazy or something and be really distance, then be quite surprised when she's not mean about it. He'd appreciate a friend, even if she's older.
