Inside the castle walls, students return to the familiar routine of the school year; 9am classes, and dorm room gossip, while outside the castle walls the world becomes more and more unpredictable. War is looming. Terror is lurking. Fear is waiting. And one man can not keep reality from breaching the walls... Now everyone is being pressured to pick sides...
Each year, it is the job of the Hogwarts Prefects and Head Students to plan and organize events around the school.
This Halloween, they have opted for a Haunted House experience on the grounds!
Upon exiting the castle, you will be greeted by a low lying fog, separating into a clear path
that leads you to a dilapidated house, with the trees of the Forbidden forest looming behind it.
Many horrors await you inside of the Haunted House of Horrors!
There is, of course, a catch! The Marauders (courtesy of the fact that James and Remus have been involved in the planning!)
have taken this opportunity to add a few extra tricks, treats, and scares to the house, so tread carefully within.
This is, optionally, a dice game to keep things exciting! More info will be provided.
Giant Pumpkin Carving!
It simply wouldn't be Halloween without Hagrid's giant pumpkins! This year, however, it's up to the students to get
involved in carving some pumpkins up. Battle through the fog and make your way to the Gamekeeper's Hut - you'll
recognize it for it's orange glow. All the tools and carving equpitment you need are waiting for you, so don't
miss your chance to create a pumpkin masterpiece!
Candy Costume Party!
Halloween requires costumes. It also requires sweets and candy. Therefore, it's only right we throw a candy costume party!
This year, Honeydukes are providing the treats - all of your familiar favorites and a few new, slightly bizarre ones
to try out.
Slugs, Bugs, Warts, and Bones, whether you want a Slimy Slug Sour, or a Freaky Finger Fruit Pop, Honeydukes
has provided everything your could ask for!
So put on your best costume and work up a sweet tooth, then join us in the Great Hall for a Sugar and Spice,
All Things Scary and Nice Candy Costume Dance!

Every year Hagrid grows pumpkins in the Pumpkin Patch outside of his hut, and each year some are carved and hung as decorations during the Halloween period. His pumpkins are hung up around the Great Hall for the Candy Costume Party, and some are lighting the way through the edge of the Forest for those coming out of the Haunted House, but there was an excess of pumpkins this year.
He had far more than usual left over, so, in the Halloween spirit, offered them up for the Halloween event. Students can follow a pumpkin lit trail from the castle to his hut, where they are given all the necessary tools for carving a pumpkin.
Hagrid is calling it a Pumpkin Carving Competition, but there are no prizes and they aren't really being judged. It's all just good fun. So whether you want a scary pumpkin or a funny pumpkin, you can have a go at creating whatever you like!
And lucky for you, these giant beasties have already been carved out and emptied, so you don't have to. Hurrah!

Perhaps it was childish to go out pumpkin carving, but then, Elizabeth was still technically a child, at least legally. She wouldn't be an adult until next summer, and then... well, then she would still carve pumpkins, but she would say she was doing it to help younger kids. After all, they couldn't hold knives, and some of them got sick when they had to scoop out the pumpkin seeds, like she had when she was nine. Her mother had insisted it was just a bad pumpkin, but she hadn't been able to look in one for a full year afterward, and she nearly refused to drink pumpkin juice when she first came to Hogwarts.
At least she'd gotten better with pumpkins now, just as she was working on her fear of heights. It was about time she managed to grow up a little, but she hadn't thought that growing up would come with becoming slightly more immature. Although, perhaps she shouldn't think of it too much as immaturity. It was fun, after all, and she was sixteen, the time when various family members had all sorts of wild adventures. Perhaps pumpkin carving wasn't exactly wild and exciting, but of all nights, she wanted a bit of relatively safe fun on Halloween.
Raphael wandered across the grounds following the trail of pumpkins through the fog that led him towards Hagrid's hut. He fully intended to go and check out the Haunted House at some point tonight, but come on - Pumpkin carving. Everyone knew he was still a child at heart.
He pulled a lock of hair out of his face and tried to get it out of his way. Was the wig really his idea? It was kind of annoying him already. But, his costume simply wouldn't be the same without it. He was calling himself a red-devil cheerleader, so he couldn't be a red devil without the red hair. His wellies slopped and squeaked as he walked along, giving him away to anyone who was ahead of him.
When he reached the pumpkin patch outside of Hagrid's hut he grinned at the sight of all the giant pumpkins waiting to be carved. Would it be wrong of him to be completely immature and carve a penis into a pumpkin? Because that was completely the sort of thing that he would do. Expected, even.
Almost as soon as he got there he sighted a familiar figure and headed towards her. "'Ello, Snogs." He waited and watched for her reaction to his costume. He'd already seen a fair few double takes and shocked faces which had made him laugh. It was definitely worth the annoying wig.

A smile. That's what she would make. A cheerfully smiling face with those silly triangle teeth and the eyes with the little half-circles at the bottom, just like the Muggle kids would set out. It wasn't scary, but she didn't mind. There were enough scary things in the world, and even if it was from having a knife stabbed into it several times, at least she would have a happy pumpkin.
A familiar voice made her grin, and unlike last year, it wasn't in spite of herself. "I should've thought you'd -- wow." Her jaw dropped when she saw Raphael's costume, and it took her a moment to take in all the details. She could blush and go on as though she hadn't seen it, but... well, it was an interesting costume, and it probably deserved at least an attempt at wit. A devil cheerleader was something she wouldn't have expected from anyone, but then, that made it perfect for him. "I would've thought you'd go for high heels to complete it," she said, then clapped a hand over her mouth to mask a sudden giggle. Raphael Dane in high heels -- bright red high heels at that, or gold and sparkling -- was just too much. "So," she said between her fingers, "pumpkin carving? I thought you'd end up here sometime."
Elizabeth's initial reaction was exactly what he hoped it would be. It was no doubt the last thing she would have expected to find him wearing, and that was half of the fun of it. Who would expect to see a guy in a dress and a long wig? There would be a lot of people who'd have a thing or two to say about it but Raphael really couldn't care less about what they thought. This was Halloween. It was all about having fun.
He couldn't help but laugh when the idea of him in heels made Elizabeth giggle. The very thought of what he'd look like in heels was enough to make him laugh, too. "I thought about it, but there's a few problems with it. For one, how many girls happen to have red heels in my size around here? Probably none. And the guy in Gladrags looked at me like I was mad." Going into a clothes store and asking for a pair of red heels had been quite an experience. It ended up being quite an awkward one, too. "Anyway, that didn't work. So what were my options? 'Hey mum and dad, I don't supposed you'll buy me a pair of red high heels, will you?'. Asking specifically for red wellies was questionable enough." He'd never had to answer so many questions in one letter before. Asking for a pair of wellies would have been one thing, but specifically red ones was apparently suspicious. He didn't even want to imagine what would have happened if he'd actually asked for heels.
Raphael headed closer to Elizabeth and flung up an arm to wrap around her shoulders with a grin on his face. "Where else would I end up? I wouldn't pass up a chance to carve something obscene into a pumpkin. Pumpkins first, then Haunted House... then the party to spike the punch bowl, of course."

Elizabeth shouldn't have been surprised that he had tried for heels. Raphael didn't seem to do anything by halves, or even by three-quarters unless, like in this case, he definitely had to. "That would have been a sight to see," she said. "Did you tell him what you wanted the shoes for, or did you say your girlfriend just had the exact shoe size as you and you were getting her a present?" She didn't think anyone would buy the excuse, but after a moment, she thought of something even more pressing. "Do you even know how to walk in heels?"
Obscene. Of course. She hadn't really expected him to carve something cheerful that someone might set on a stoop and wait for kids to come by, but she hadn't considered his pumpkin so much that she had thought about what he might put on there. "You never miss an opportunity to make mischief, do you?" she asked, leaning against him slightly. "I think I can count on one hand the times I've seen you serious, and even then, they'd add up to less than an hour." She made a mental note to avoid the punch at the party later; her fellow students weren't people she really wanted to drink in front of, at least not yet.
Elizabeth giggle. The very thought of what he'd look like in heels was enough to make him laugh, too. "I thought about it, but there's a few problems with it. For one, how 8ballpool.onl/discord.software/omegle.onl/
