Angela had made what she liked to think was the perfect start to her time at Hogwarts. Her stupid older brother Thomas had made it sound like everything was going to be so difficult and she'd never be able to keep up with all of her subjects. Maybe that had been his experience, but then he'd rather be seen chasing after a girlfriend than with his nose in a book studying. Angela pitied the intellegence of anyone who fell in love with him... because he was her brother, and therefore he was stupid.
Far from being behind in her classes, Angela had started reading ahead in the textbooks of her favourite subjects. While defence against the dark arts was without a doubt her favourite lesson, it was charms that had her winding her way down from Gryffindor tower to her favourite spot on the beautifully sprawling grounds. She wanted to perfect the wand movements she'd learned so far, so when they moved onto more complex spells she'd be ahead of everyone who wasn't taking school as seriously as it should be. While she wasn't necessarily driven to be the smartest person at Hogwarts, she was certainly determined to make her brother's grades look as pathetic as they were.
As always, the little lion's uniform was still immaculate as she sat down on the warm grass by the lake and crossed her legs. Pulling out her wand, she started waving it around, reciting the swishing movement that she'd been taught earlier that day. As long as she didn't add an incantation to her movement she should be okay, shouldn't she? Then again, no-one had ever told her magic was not allowed anywhere other than the hallways, and this certainly wasn't a hallway.
