Augustus has the Dark Mark on his right arm and keeps to long sleeved shirts, jackets, robes ect. You’ll mostly see him wearing wizarding robes, nothing fancy but he keeps his appearance formal enough to suit his reputation and casual enough to suit his personality. Other than that he does wear the normal things like socks, shoes and a scarf with gloves in the cold and loves to wear dark colours so that would be the colours of most of his clothing. Every now and then he grows a light beard but never allows it to get too long, same goes for his hair; he often allows it to grow out but never lets it exceed the back of his neck.
The little things that usually go unnoticed would be the dimples that form on his cheeks when he smiles, the way he wriggles his nose in awkward situations and the family ring on his right hand’s index finger.

Personality
Likes: -Cookies and milk. -Fireworks. It somehow seems more magical than magic and reminds him to legitimately smile every now and then. -Animals -The fact that nothing's permanent. -All good food, especially food you've been craving all day. -The spontaneous and unexpected. You would think he only likes the positive, but even the negative can be amusing. -Quiet time. -Writing down his thoughts. Better to have a clear mind than a clouded one. -Snow, he likes catching snowflakes on his tongue. -Long train rides, though he hardly rides trains now that he's no longer a student at Hogwarts. | Dislikes: -Suspicion, whether it comes from him or is directed at him. -Loud chewing or people who chew with their mouths open. -Failure, which he believes he is full of. -Being nervous and fidgety for no reason. -Loneliness. He doesn't mind being alone but it's not always fun. -Long speeches or lectures. -Being yelled at. -Being ill. -Wet doorknobs and not so clean public restrooms. -Weddings. Just because. -Waiting on someone, even if they are the most important person in the world he still doesn't have to like it. -Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, of course he only hates the nasty tasting ones, but he loves the thrill so he eats them anyway. |
Positive Traits: -Ambitious -Cunning -Stealthy -Thick-skinned -Manipulative -Charming, funny and amusingly cocky. This gets him in and out of situations and hardly anyone notices it's mostly an act. -Communication skills. Unlike other Death Eaters he’s outgoing and affable, which he uses to avoid suspicion and gain people's trust. -Determined -Quick Learner. -Analytical and planning skills. | Negative Traits: -Struggles to cope with failure and to learn from his mistakes. -Too focused on work at times. -Not excellent when it comes to duelling. -Ruthlessly protective of loved ones. -Overly critical at times. -Bottles up feelings instead of letting them out. |

If Augustus is asked or reminded of his worst memory it would play out as a slide show in his head, showing him all those times his parents looked down on him with nothing but dissatisfaction and disappointment. His parents’ high expectations have fuelled a desire to become someone no one will ever forget, to stand out and to be remembered for something truly unique. However his current path as a Death Eater has brought up fears such as being sent to Azkaban and therefore when faced with a Boggart it takes the form of a Dementor.
When it comes down to Ammortentia the first sent he would smell would be vanilla, then ripe mango and a rainy forest’s sent following shortly after. If he was capable of producing a Patronus it would take the form of a fox, he has only seen it once in his fifth year and only for a brief second. Now that he’s a Death Eater he’s fully aware that he will never see it again.
If you know Augustus relatively well you'll know he's affable, trustworthy, charming and everything you'd expect a Death Eater not to be. What you won't know is that all you know about him is mostly an act he puts up to avoid suspicion and to gain your trust.
In some ways he truly is affable, trustworthy and charming, but he only allows himself to truly be this way around close loved ones or people he completely trusts. Yes, he is a fake around acquaintances, so called friends and people he barely knows, but that's just it, its people he barely knows. In a way it's his shield, he doesn't believe in unnecessary violence or cruelty and therefore hides behind his act instead of his wand. Although he prefers not to duel, he can stand his own in a fight if it comes to that, but he prefers using information against whoever his enemy might be.

History

Augustus was the first of three children born into the Rookwood household. His family wasn't extremely rich, neither were they poor, so he had an average childhood. Even though he was the only child for five years, and even though he got almost everything he wanted, he still wasn't quite what his parents expected.
As a baby he would cry when held by a muggleborn, and as he got older he would show his distaste towards them and muggle objects, earning nothing but scoldings and disappointment in return. This didn't change when his brother was born, but he was no longer the centre of attention and was often pushed aside. At first Augustus hated his brother, especially since his parents seemed to like him best, he seemed to like muggle objects. It infuriated young Augustus.
It wasn't long until another arrived into the family, this time a baby sister. He wasn't use to his brother yet, and now all of the sudden a ray of sunshine -as his mother use to say- entered their world. Just as Augustus treated his brother, at arm’s length and with a certain disdain, he decided he would treat his sister as well. His behaviour only angered his parents and due to his attitude and two babies in the house he was neglected more and more.
At the age of eight he was tasked with babysitting his siblings for a few hours. Since he didn't have much of a childhood after the age of five, he was mature for his age and despite his behaviour they trusted him. The day started off awful, he didn't take much notice of his siblings until they knocked a glass vase over, breaking it into hundreds of pieces. Angry and not able to use magic to repair it he stormed over to them, ready to shout, but looking into his sister's eyes he realized he couldn't. He hated shouting, especially since it only seemed to be directed at him. At first he wanted nothing more for his siblings to be shouted at for a change, but for some reason he couldn't be the one doing it.
Not long after, he realized he could not be himself if he wanted what he wanted. People didn't want to know the truth, they wanted to know what they wanted to know. He learned that to be accepted and to get what you want you have to become the person they want you to be. Since he wasn't, he acted.
Close to his ninth birthday he started to show signs of magic, and shortly before his eleventh he received his letter from Hogwarts. Excited as he was to leave his parents, he was sad to leave his brother and sister behind. Ever since he let go of his anger and jealousy, he grew closer to his siblings and spent as much time with them as he could. Even now he writes and tries to visit on Hogsmeade weekends, however, he knows they are growing up and therefore he gives them their space.
Life at Hogwarts was different from what he thought it would be. He was unexpectedly sorted into Slytherin, the hat obviously seeing through the act his parents foolishly fell for. Shock wasn't the word to describe their reaction. However, despite his parent's disappointment, he loved it, he related and it felt more like a home than his actual home. Although, Augustus didn't agree to everything the Slytherin's did, for example bullying, but he did have the best years of his life there and accomplished much. In his fourth year he decided to try out for Quidditch and earned himself the spot of Keeper. In his fifth he was invited to join the Slug Club and in his seventh and final year he passed his N.E.W.T.’s in Potions and Charms.
In his fifth year his friends noticed that he hasn't taken interest in any girl at the school. He never asked one out, not to a ball, not to a party and not even to study together for a test. Of course Augustus never picked up on it, he simply never noticed anyone in such a way. But, when they brought it to his attention he started to look and found his interests wasn't in the opposite gender, but in his own. Believing in purity he saw it as a flaw and despite his efforts to change himself he never succeeded, naturally he slipped into denial and denied himself any such thoughts. People around him started to assume he’s asexual, simply not interested, in the end he used it to his advantage.
After Hogwarts he lived with his parents for a year longer before moving out into a small apartment, pursuing his career in the Department of Mysteries. For a wizard his age he has done remarkably well and works alongside the Keeper of the Hall of Prophecy, planning to soon apply for the position himself. Being an unspeakable he wasn't even allowed to tell people about his position nor his success and progress, and being a Death Eater has hardly changed the fact that his lips are sealed. For now, at least.

There was nothing more Conner hated than spending time with his parents, so when the chance to go shopping for some Potion equipment and ingredients risen he jumped at it. Of course it was for his mother, but he couldn't care less and bought a few things for himself as well. Potions has always been a favorite of his, anyway.
About four hours from when he left he stepped back through the fireplace, not even bothering with dusting off dust his mother made sure was never there. However, on his way to the rather large kitchen he heard voices, which seemed unusual since his parents rarely talked... Calmly. He decided to give it no further thought, but the sound of a third voice stopped him in his tracks.
With an eyebrow raised, the bag of ingredients and equipment placed on the nearest table, he made his way toward the lounge curiously. He had no high hopes, it was obviously someone his parents got along with, and that was never someone you could be happy to see. And like expected, it wasn't someone he was happy to see.
"Georgina, of course." he said with a slight frown, looking towards his parents in question "What is she doing here?" in no mood for 'the Death Eater speech' was an understatement, but obviously they didn't know his true feelings towards the subject, but his feelings towards his 'dear' cousin was pretty much in the open. Though a lot was still hidden away safely.
"Don't be rude, son, she's always welcomed here," his father responded, first with a frown directed to him but ended with a delightful smile toward Georgina, and don't forget the approving nod from his mother. No words but clear frustration in his expression, he forced his eyes onto his cousin and asked as if his parents never spoke "What are you doing here?".
