Inside the castle walls, students return to the familiar routine of the school year; 9am classes, and dorm room gossip, while outside the castle walls the world becomes more and more unpredictable. War is looming. Terror is lurking. Fear is waiting. And one man can not keep reality from breaching the walls... Now everyone is being pressured to pick sides...
Each year, it is the job of the Hogwarts Prefects and Head Students to plan and organize events around the school.
This Halloween, they have opted for a Haunted House experience on the grounds!
Upon exiting the castle, you will be greeted by a low lying fog, separating into a clear path
that leads you to a dilapidated house, with the trees of the Forbidden forest looming behind it.
Many horrors await you inside of the Haunted House of Horrors!
There is, of course, a catch! The Marauders (courtesy of the fact that James and Remus have been involved in the planning!)
have taken this opportunity to add a few extra tricks, treats, and scares to the house, so tread carefully within.
This is, optionally, a dice game to keep things exciting! More info will be provided.
Giant Pumpkin Carving!
It simply wouldn't be Halloween without Hagrid's giant pumpkins! This year, however, it's up to the students to get
involved in carving some pumpkins up. Battle through the fog and make your way to the Gamekeeper's Hut - you'll
recognize it for it's orange glow. All the tools and carving equpitment you need are waiting for you, so don't
miss your chance to create a pumpkin masterpiece!
Candy Costume Party!
Halloween requires costumes. It also requires sweets and candy. Therefore, it's only right we throw a candy costume party!
This year, Honeydukes are providing the treats - all of your familiar favorites and a few new, slightly bizarre ones
to try out.
Slugs, Bugs, Warts, and Bones, whether you want a Slimy Slug Sour, or a Freaky Finger Fruit Pop, Honeydukes
has provided everything your could ask for!
So put on your best costume and work up a sweet tooth, then join us in the Great Hall for a Sugar and Spice,
All Things Scary and Nice Candy Costume Dance!
_ Info: He is a first year Slytherin. He has an older twin brother, Benjamin, who is in Gryffindor house and his parents were previous students at Hogwarts, leaving him and his brother as Pure-bloods. He is cunning and rather anti-social but is a lonely boy that only does things that he does to gain attention that he never got from his parents. He often gets into trouble even if it wasn't his fault and is usually found in fights in his spare time. (More information can be found here)
_ Friends: He doesn't have any friends, just his brother and a few acquaintances from classes and the Slytherin common room. He is extremely honest which sometimes is a bad thing and makes people dislike him depending on the situation. He is both a lovable character and one that many despise. Just because he doesn't have friends doesn't mean that he will never have friends.
Enemies: To him having enemies is pointless, he doesn't like to waste time holding grudges against anyone unless they’re a muggleborn or a Gryffindor (his brother is an exception). However there are probably individuals who would class him as their enemy, he just doesn't class people that he doesn't like as his enemies.
Lovers: He doesn't believe in love... But give it a few years... I’m sure that will change. (Sexuality is still undecided at this point)
Relationships: Benjamin is Lucas’ older twin brother, the pampered twin, and is often seen with his friends in the Gryffindor common room. Benjamin doesn't actually like his younger brother, because he is a pain, and he believes that Lucas is obsessed with him and is envious of him. _ Pictures:

Colin & Lucas: Both grew up in Ireland, both first years, they'd have things in common and would definitely see each other around. Should they talk, I think could get along in time. There might be a lot of awkward silences at first, then Colin would try filling them with boasting about himself. If that can be endured, I think they might get along. The better they know each other, the less Colin will feel a need to boast. His boasting is just attention seeking and proving himself, although he still has a high opinion of himself. He would enjoy Lucas' company anyway.
Remus & Lucas: Remus is a seventh year Gryffindor, so I doubt they'd talk to each other much unless Remus was playing a prank with the Marauders. He would be more reluctant to pull one on someone like Lucas, afraid it would actually really upset them, but might still be pushed into it by the other Marauders.
They should have things in common since they're both first years! They would most likely see each other around in classes and the school grounds. It would be interesting to see these two interact, although the awkward silences would probably be filled with Lucas reading or trying to avoid the other until he grew fond of him being there. He wouldn't mind the boasting probably, he's not one that is easily bothered by others actions unless it has something to do with his brother. He doesn't have a problem with people from Ravenclaw so that should be okay, the only thing I see going wrong with their friendship is if Lucas knows that Colin is a Muggleborn.
Remus & Lucas:
Again it would be very interesting to see these two interact. Remus being a Gryffindor would make Lucas on edge at all times, making him want to avoid him or attack him, though he wouldn't. Though it's true that he is a seventh year and they would most likely never talk to each other but they might see each other in the halls. Pranks don't bother Lucas all that much but it would be interesting to see how one pulled on him would turn out.

Bethany and Lucas
Bethany's fond of kids, so she might try to be kind to him (as long as he doesn't insult her for being a Gryffindor or a muggleborn). If they do end up hating each other over that, she wouldn't classify him as an enemy so much as an annoyance, though as he gets older, their relationship might either get colder or kinder, depending on whether his views change.
Elizabeth and Lucas
Elizabeth would likely try to make sure he's adjusting to Hogwarts. I'm not sure if they would meet very much, since she's a sixth year, but she would likely be somewhere between wanting to help him and thinking he's a bit off-putting.

Colin & Lucas: If Lucas doesn't mind boasting, all the better for their chances of friendship. Colin likes people who don't care when he goes off on an arrogant tangent. I can see them ending up good friends. The muggleborn thing might get in the way. Colin makes no attempt to hide it since he isn't aware of the full extent of any prejudice (he's noticed a few people thinking a bit less of him, but hasn't seen full on hate or Death Eaters yet) and because it gives him a handy excuse if he gets something wrong. He doesn't proclaim it to the world, though, so it's entirely possible that Lucas won't know his blood status until after they've got to know each other a bit. That could be interesting.
Remus & Lucas: Lucas being a Slytherin would give Remus an instant dislike of him too, so if you ever feel like making Lucas the victim of a prank, whether aimed at just him or a group of Slytherins, just give me a shout
Lucas isn't fond of Gryffindor's or muggleborns but he doesn't insult many people unless they attack him first. He wouldn't really hate her but he wouldn't like having her around, though he doesn't like having anyone around. Though I agree that their relationship could change as he ages.
Elizabeth and Lucas
I doubt they would meet very much also, Lucas tends not to interact with the older students unless it's necessary, so unless they meet by chance in the library and bond over a book or something similar, but it would be interesting none the less, though probably a very short thread.
Lucas isn't one to enjoy upsetting others so if he ends up hurting Colin he would probably do everything humanly possible to show how sorry he was. It would be extremely interesting to see their relationship grow, so if you want to start a thread just link me to it and we can do the thing!
Remus & Lucas
I'm curious as to what happens to Lucas when he is involved in a prank. So let's do it!

Great! I'm on holiday atm so am restricted to mobile. The site's a bit dodgy on mobile sometimes and I don't have an awful lot of time to post since it takes longer, so either you can start the threads or wait until I get back on Wednesday. If I'm late in posting or only manage short posts in the meantime, that's why but I'm happy for both those threads to happen wherever!
Post by Lucas Cassidy on Aug 10, 2014 11:50:13 GMT
I myself am restricted to mobile as I am moving and have packed my laptop away. So waiting till Wednesday would be fine by me. If I get bored in the meantime I will probably start something and upload it when I finish! I look forward to it though

Hello, welcome to the site ^.^
Lucas and Sirius Well I can see that you've already got a Marauder prank brewing, and if Remus needs some pushing, I will happily volunteer Sirius... first-year Slytherins are probably his favorite target. I'm guessing they wouldn't be too fond of each other - Sirius being a blood traitor and a Gryffindor, and he's not really one to hide his dislike of blood purists.
Lucas and Addie Addie is a sixth year and Gryffindor, muggleborn. Lucas might not like her, then, if they were ever to talk, and Addie doesn't really deal with dislike well. She likes to think that everyone likes her so she doesn't know how to cope when they don't; she's very friendly, outgoing, would definitely be more than willing to talk to a first year if they somehow encountered one another. It could be an interesting conversation, actually; she would be friendly and helpful and he might be cold or something in response, and she would be kind of flustered.
Lucas and Dex They're both loners, don't really have a close friendship circle, and Dex here is the closest to his age of my characters. A Ravenclaw and a halfblood, so no hard feelings there. Dex has been moved around his whole life to follow his family, so he doesn't really know how to make and keep friends, is very socially awkward, etc. He's pretty noticeably uncomfortable in conversation, but he would be nice, or at least try to be, if they were to run into one another in the library or something.
Lucas and Barty Barty is a Slytherin, and much like Lucas, he never received attention from his own parents - or at least, not from his father. He's a Prefect, Quidditch Player, top of his class, cordial and charming but he keeps his vindictive, malicious side on the down low. He's actually a bit crazy, hates muggleborns and strives to be a Death Eater, which is probably more well-known around Slytherin house but it's mostly a secret. He might let on to Lucas, though, if he finds him 'trustworthy'... Barty could be a bad influence on him.

Thank you ^^
Lucas and Sirius
Another prank would be awesome if you want to start up a thread. Like I've said previously, it will be interesting. Since his favourite target is first years Lucas would be a great one to pursue. Their relationship would probably be rocky if they ever got close though I doubt they would. But this would be an interesting thread none the less.
Lucas and Addie
If Lucas sensed that she doesn't take well to dislike, he probably wouldn't vocalise his feelings, he doesn't like hurting people much but with her thinking that everyone likes her, he might get slightly annoyed with her enthusiasm and then probably confused when she gets flustered. Yet another interesting thread.
Lucas and Dex
Lucas probably wouldn't have anything against Dex, though he isn't a pureblood but he isn't a Muggleborn either so I doubt he would have anything bad to think of the other. Lucas doesn't really have friends and has never had friends so he would probably find it difficult to make a friend too. A library based thread would be good here, they would probably meet somewhere isolated and quiet anyway.
Lucas and Barty
These two would probably bond over their intense hatred for their parents and muggleborns. Lucas would probably find Barty amusing and probably want to follow in his footsteps. A bad influence is all he needs to turn to the bad side, he's already half way there with his past but with a good influence could be pushed to be an Auror like his father.
All of these sound very interesting and I would like to see them develop so if you want to start up a thread just link me to it I'll reply as fast as I can!
James & Lucas ANOTHER MARAUDER! This doesn't pose well for poor ickle prank victim Lucas... James isn't quite as bad as he's been in previous years and he's matured a lot, but ultimately, he is still a marauder and his pranking days are far from over.
Raphael & Lucas Raphael is a sixth year Hufflepuff who only cares about having fun. School? War? Seriousness? Not his style. He likes for fun ~ Quidditch and alcohol all the way. He's even been known to not think things through and give alcohol to kids way too young to be drinking it. He takes nothing seriously, so he wouldn't be phased by Lucas.
Dominique & Lucas Dominique is a fifth year Slytherin who does what she has to do without ever revealing the truth. She lives behind a mask - an act. Whatever she makes herself appear to be, she's not. She knows who she is, and knows that isnt' the person she needs to present herself as. She'd love nothing more than to lounge around in scruffs and just chill out near the lake, but she has a reputation to uphold, and with that reputation comes acting like a bitch, dressing like a slut, and bedding a load of guys. A lie, basically.
CJ Warren & Lucas CJ is a fourth year Ravenclaw who is very goal-orientated. He's at the age where he cares a lot about girls and body image, and he aspires to top all his classes, play quidditch, build up muscle by working out, and make prefect next year. Ultimately, he wants to be Quidditch Captain and Head Boy in his seventh year, and he's driven enough to do everything he can to achieve that, all while trying to play the cool/popular kid and get in with the right crowds to socialize.
Ryan & Lucas Oh yeah... Ryan. I've told you about this one. >.> Ryan was born Araya and entered the school as such, but has ditched all things female-related and lives only as Ryan, regardless of how much people oppose it. He'll reply only to Ryan and male pronouns. For the most part, he just sticks to himself and doesn't bother trying to get close to people because he knows people don't understand. He may only be a fourth year, but he already drinks, smokes, and self-harms as a coping mechanism for everything. He's in a love/hate relationship with smoking though, because he loves to run, and cigs are gunna help with that. He stopped running during third year due to the hell that's called puberty wrecking havoc on his body but having acquired a certain wonderful creation over the summer, he feels confident enough to run again... Yeah... Ryan.
Georgina & Lucas Georgina is a fellow first year Slytherin, and she's horrid. She was born bad and there's no fixing this girl. She especially has a things for torturing animals and inflicting her horrors onto them, which, of course, will later develop into her sadistic torture-lust she holds as a Death Eater.
James | Raphael | Dominique | CJ | Ryan | Georgina | Sven
There seems to be a running theme here! But as previously stated, the prank thing seems very interesting! So I'm up for it of you are!
Raphael & Lucas
These two may possibly get along. But it would be odd to see them together because of their age differences. His type of fun is something Lucas is unaware of, mostly because he is so young but also because he is always stuck in his own world or in a book.
Dominique & Lucas
Just by being a Slytherin would make Lucas like her, though he wouldn't be entirely phased by her lies since he is so young. But would probably be gullible to anything she tells him.
CJ Warren & Lucas
I'm not sure if these two would get along. CJ seems too much of a good boy. But it would be interesting to see what happens when they're put in the same room for a lengthy amount of time.
Ryan & Lucas
Lucas probably wouldn't really understand Ryan but would be curious to know more about him. He would probably get angry at others if they hurt him in any way because he doesn't really understand and sees that others are reluctant to try and understand him. Though people oppose Ryan, Lucas would probably cheer him on silently, wishing that he could be that brave to so something his parents would probably not approve of.
Georgina & Lucas
It's probably bad that I want to see these two together, at each others throats etc. but I'd also like to see them somewhat befriend each other. She seems like Lucas' ideal friend/enemy.
I quite like the idea of Georgina, Ryan, Dominique and James' threads with Lucas but it's entirely up to you! If you want to start something go ahead! just link me to the thread!!
Post by Colin MacClery on Aug 11, 2014 9:04:37 GMT
Remus & Lucas You still wanting to make that a thread just between those two? Because it could be fun to throw three Marauders at Lucas at once.
Colin & Lucas Just a passing comment really, but if Colin and Georgina both befriended Lucas, that might lead to some interesting/uncomfortable situations since Georgina and Colin hate each other so Colin would not react well to having to see Georgina when she and him are both around Lucas. Not in a jealous way (although he'd object to any of her influence) but more a can't-stand-having-to-talk-to-you way.
