About
Colin is pretty much a genius, and knows it. He's obnoxious and annoying. He's also reluctant to talk about himself, preferring to just stick to the things he knows about so he can show off his knowledge. He'll grow out of it, but for now he looks to show off wherever he can. As a Muggleborn, he knows nothing of the wizarding world, so is very much out of his depth at Hogwarts. This is extremely unsettling for him. Once he finds his feet, he'll be back to his arrogant self. For the time being, as with any situation where he finds himself not knowing something, he's quiet, observing and taking in what he can. He likes asking intelligent questions, so right now since he's worried all his questions will be obvious and stupid to someone who's more experienced, he doesn't want to ask many questions. He gets nervous when talking about himself. At heart, he's a shy, painfully clever Irish kid, but he's far too egotistical to let that come across.

Friends
As one might expect of someone who loves rubbing their intelligence in other people's faces while actually being very clever, it's hard for Colin to find friends. He's not very likable. Once he's got to know someone a little better and is sure they know he's clever, he will be a lot nicer, more himself. He can be a fun person. He does make a good friend; always willing to help people out (he is prone to making things too complicated to show he knows more advanced stuff than the task at hand), loyal, caring, etc. Meeting knew people works best for him when he's already with friends so has already opened up, otherwise he just resorts to talking needlessly about something he knows a lot about so he can show off. If someone can lead him away from hiding behind boasting, he's a nice guy really. He wouldn't ever be intentionally mean to someone, but doesn't realise when he might be showing people up to make himself look better.

Enemies
People might be jealous of his intelligence, or might just want him to just shut up. Worse still, anyone who dares be more intelligent than him. Colin would make enemies of them all. He tends not to realise when another person doesn't like him. When he does, he won't try salvaging a relationship. He'll just try asserting himself as a far better person than them. When he doesn't like another person, he'll do the same, only it'll be more personal and probably will dissolve into very petty arguments.

Romance
He's eleven. Romance isn't really on the cards right now.

Bethany

Bethany would probably be one of the people who wants him to shut up. She'd think he's cute at first, since she likes kids, but if he starts acting like a little brat, she'd turn against him pretty quickly. Of course, if he adds a little sass into his intelligence, she might be impressed enough to be fond of him again. Naturally, if anyone tried to bully him for being a brat, she'd jump into defend him, even if it was only to turn around and tell him that he was a brat.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth might be annoyed with him, but she would probably think he's too adorable to get too mad at him. Of course, she's five years older than he is and still rather shy, so they're unlikely to interact, but if they did, she might be idealistic enough to try taking him under her wing, despite being a Hufflepuff.

Colin & Sirius

They'd probably have to interact by circumstance, considering the age, house, and just general differences. Sirius would definitely be the worst older kid to ask about anything; he'd be the one to tell Colin the wrong thing on purpose and make him do something stupid & embarrassing. Sirius finds the younger kids easy targets, so he could fall victim to some horrible prank. Especially if he finds Colin to be obnoxious; he's rather blunt and doesn't like to sugarcoat things, so he'd definitely teach him a lesson the hard way. But at the same time, a conversation could be fun, because Sirius having been sheltered in a pureblooded family his whole life knows absolutely nothing about the Muggle world (aside from the bits and pieces he's picked up since meeting muggleborns and hanging with muggles in London, but it's not much), so that could make Colin feel a bit better. (he's also pretty dang smart, so...)

Colin & Addie

Addie loves kids. She, unlike my other Gryffindor, would be unquestionably sweet and understanding, would answer questions with genuine honesty and concern, and would even check up on him if she saw him later to make sure he was okay. Also, she's a Muggleborn, so she went through the same thing even though she had her sister there to go through it with her, but still, she'd be someone to go to. Again, this would probably just be a circumstantial  occurrence because they're so different by house/age. If she found him annoying, she'd probably just bite her lip and deal with it, or try to slyly get out of talking to him. Anyway, she loves helping, so she'd be a good go-to person.

Colin & Dex
Same house, so there's potential there for some run-ins. Dex is a very bright guy, but then again, Colin will find no shortage of smarties in Ravenclaw! He's naturally intelligent, but what's more impressive is his genuine interest and work ethic, so it'd be hard to tell for Colin, maybe, who the more intelligent is. Dex wouldn't care; actually, he would have no idea how to react to this obnoxious, boastful kid if they were ever to talk, but to be fair, Dex hardly ever knows how to react to anything. He like Addie would probably keep quiet about it though and just keep trying to be nice; he doesn't really have a mean bone in his body, he would just try to avoid any further interaction. Again, he does that with everybody. But he would be helpful, just not very talkative.

Colin & Charlie
Charlie's a bit on-hold at the moment, plus there's probably no way they'd ever interact considering Colin can't go to Hogsmeade yet, so I'm going to skip over this one.

Colin & Barty
This could be fun, because like Colin, Barty is something of a genius. He's talented at basically everything, he learns way advanced stuff because he can. He acts usually very proper, polite and quiet but witty, while in reality he's a vindictive and diabolical blood elitist. He would naturally hate Colin immediately upon discovering his bloodline, and he would let him know but in extremely subtle ways. He'd tell him the wrong things if asked about anything Hogwarts/magic-related, he'd drop hints that his Muggle heritage makes him inferior in and out of the classroom. Basically, there'd probably be nothing at all positive between these two.

Bethany & Colin
Colin can be sassy when he's confident. He would like Bethany, and might even tone down the boasting around her if it really got on her nerves. It would take him a while to realise what the problem was though. Being saved from bullying only to be told he was indeed a brat would bring it home to him more that he does need to stop being such a little know-it-all.

Elizabeth & Colin
Colin would happily accept help from Elizabeth, but yeah, I don't see a reason why they would interact, either.

Sirius & Colin
Lessons are sorely needed for Colin, and the hard way is the easiest way for him to actually take them in. He'd hear of Sirius' reputation and past deeds so would be wary of him. It wouldn't be too hard to lead him into a prank, though, as he'll be more trusting if he thinks Sirius is teaching him something he ought to know. Since he doesn't know much about magic or Hogwarts, Sirius could convince him of some quite ridiculous things.

Addie & Colin
If Colin did get really stuck, he might bring himself to asking her for help if she was around, being older. If he came to realise that she wasn't thinking less of him for asking questions, he'd look for her help more often.

Dex & Colin
They'd see each other around the Common Room, and Colin would recognise him about the school too. In part, he'd be glad to be able to chat with another clever kid, but he would also be trying to gauge who was smarter. With a bit of an age gap, he'd just tell himself that he's probably cleverer than Dex was at his age, even if that isn't true. He'd talk to Dex to get some help when researching something, in which case he'd be less boastful and more keen to learn, or if there weren't many other people around, in which case he'd be fairly obnoxious.

Barty & Colin
Yep, this could be fun! Colin would respect Barty as a clever guy and a Prefect. If they talked, however, he would begin to dislike Barty for being like him, and smarter. He's already worried about being a Muggleborn, so would take up any hints Barty dropped about it making him inferior. That would make him dislike Barty even more. The dislike would be a little confusing for him since he would assume all Prefects were nice, helpful, model students. He'd want to make Barty see he could do anything a kid with magical parents could do, but wouldn't see how since he only knows basic magic.

[Sirius Black]

Colin and Sirius
Oh yeah, Sirius would get a kick out of that. Colin's a smart kid, he would pick up pretty quickly that Sirius is not one to trust. He'd make up some pretty crazy stuff just to see how much the kid believes, but when he got bored of that tactic, he'd tell him straight up to not be an obnoxious know-it-all.

Colin and Addie
Perfect. She would do all she could to help and try not to get annoyed, if it came to that.

Colin and Dex
Dex is most talkative when the subject of discussion is something intellectual, academic. So if Colin ever wanted help in research, Dex would willingly help, he's too nice to say no. Plus he's got a step-up because his dad is a big name in the magical research field, so he'd be a perfect resource for Colin.

Colin and Barty
Definitely some dislike on both parts then. Encountering Barty would definitely be an experience for him; on one hand, he seems to be the exception to the rule that Slytherins are nasty, when in reality, he's actually the exception to the rule that Prefects are all nice and helpful and exemplary.

I like what we've got here, so if you want to thread any of them, just name when and where and I'll be more than willing to join!

Great! I think it'd be best if Sirius targeted him nice and early while he was still unsure about everything. He could meet Dex first, get more confident, then be taken down a peg by Sirius in a second thread.
