@pestilencejaeger | It was one of those days that Pestilence felt sad and alone. She felt like her choices didn't matter and that she couldn't ever experience the other side of things. She just wanted to leave. Leave where, you might ask? Everywhere. All at once. Just to be alone, and sad, and gone. Without hesitation, Pestilence brought out a cigarette from her combat boot. Using a match, she flicked it across the box and lit it up, only because she left her zippo back in the dorm. Taking a drag, she let the smoke dissipate into the air, twisting and twirling in front of her, as if it had somewhere to go. She sat just on the edge of the forbidden forest, leaning up against a big tree trunk. While adjusting her black leather jacket, she looked over to the school. Nothing interesting was going on anyway, and nobody was with her. She'd thought maybe Evanthe would meet up with her later but that didn't seem too promising. The sun beat down on her exposed stomach, making it feel warm and content. Her back thought otherwise. It was extremely sensitive to heat, as she had severely burnt it in her childhood years. Pestilence was always self-conscious about her back which is always why she kept it covered. Nobody seemed to notice. Kirin was the only one who knew about it. She reminded him that if he told anyone, she'd beat him to a bloody pulp, without using magic. As a few more moments passed by, she began to think more and more about her years at Hogwarts. They were nice so far, other than her constant getting caught. She never enjoyed getting caught. It made her feel restricted and under control. She'd been like this for most of her life, really. Always being told what to do, and shaped to how others want her to be. Her parents did that, making her a soon-to-be Death Eater. Though she doesn't think otherwise due to her being told practically from birth that it was either the way to go, or no go... The only thing that made her feel in control was rebelling, just as any teenager would do. Going to parties, getting drunk, high, pulling pranks, getting into more trouble, you name it. She did all of that, and planned to do more of it. One thing that she didn't play with all too much was love. She didn't like to mess with peoples hearts, or them try to mess with hers. Although if someone strikes up a playful flirting game, she'll happily comply. A few more drags passed by before the cigarette was just about done. Where was her trio? Or anyone, really. It was weird how often her and her brother spent time together. Usually siblings didn't hang out together, but these two did. Twins too, which made it seem slightly more acceptable. Often, twins seemed to be by each others sides at all times. That was the cliché thing, anyway. Evanthe was also with them, and had a thing for her brother. It was weird how all of them were all friends, and had the same type of reputation together, even if they were all sort of different. Pestilence grew close to them over the years, and she hadn't even thought about making more friends, as there were many other factors at hand. (564 words.) |
