Inside the castle walls, students return to the familiar routine of the school year; 9am classes, and dorm room gossip, while outside the castle walls the world becomes more and more unpredictable. War is looming. Terror is lurking. Fear is waiting. And one man can not keep reality from breaching the walls... Now everyone is being pressured to pick sides...
Each year, it is the job of the Hogwarts Prefects and Head Students to plan and organize events around the school.
This Halloween, they have opted for a Haunted House experience on the grounds!
Upon exiting the castle, you will be greeted by a low lying fog, separating into a clear path
that leads you to a dilapidated house, with the trees of the Forbidden forest looming behind it.
Many horrors await you inside of the Haunted House of Horrors!
There is, of course, a catch! The Marauders (courtesy of the fact that James and Remus have been involved in the planning!)
have taken this opportunity to add a few extra tricks, treats, and scares to the house, so tread carefully within.
This is, optionally, a dice game to keep things exciting! More info will be provided.
Giant Pumpkin Carving!
It simply wouldn't be Halloween without Hagrid's giant pumpkins! This year, however, it's up to the students to get
involved in carving some pumpkins up. Battle through the fog and make your way to the Gamekeeper's Hut - you'll
recognize it for it's orange glow. All the tools and carving equpitment you need are waiting for you, so don't
miss your chance to create a pumpkin masterpiece!
Candy Costume Party!
Halloween requires costumes. It also requires sweets and candy. Therefore, it's only right we throw a candy costume party!
This year, Honeydukes are providing the treats - all of your familiar favorites and a few new, slightly bizarre ones
to try out.
Slugs, Bugs, Warts, and Bones, whether you want a Slimy Slug Sour, or a Freaky Finger Fruit Pop, Honeydukes
has provided everything your could ask for!
So put on your best costume and work up a sweet tooth, then join us in the Great Hall for a Sugar and Spice,
All Things Scary and Nice Candy Costume Dance!

nfo: Dominique was the youngest of three, and has always been constantly compared to her oh-so-perfect sister - the blond haired bombshell who can do no wrong. The only thing Dominique has done right in her parent's eyes is be sorted into Slytherin. She's an act and a fake, and hides behind a mask never letting anyone in. She appears to be one thing but her mind in a constant turmoil and she just wants to complete opposite.
friends: Dominique doesn't really have friends. There are people who she pretends are her friends but she doesn't actually let them see past her mask to the real girl underneath. She picks her 'friends' through reputation because she has an image to uphold, and she'll play the part she needs to play, but don't expect her to ever open up about who she really is. Anyone else? Anyone who has the potential to be an actual friend? She'll push them away and bully them to force some distance between her and them.
nemies: She's the Queen B*tch right now and is always first to whip out the attitude and bite words at people. She deliberately does whatever she has to do to keep people away and to maintain a certain image. She'll bully, she'll insult, and she'll mock, but it's all a front and it's all an act, but it's one that she feels she has to maintain, at least as long as she's in Hogwarts.
overs: Dominique gets around, but only because that's the image that she wants to uphold. She doesn't want to be like her perfect, do-good sister, and deliberately does things that are the opposite to what her sister does. She sleep with just about any Slytherin or Pureblood to keep her reputation, but that doesn't mean that she has to enjoy it.
elationships: Sirius Black ~ Ew, are you really betrothed to my sister? Well, that's all the more reason for me to have some fun with you, isn't it? Aren't I better than her? Or do you like miss perfect blond? Damn it, you're no good for my sanity, you know...

Friends? Oh no wait, she'll probably just give him the cold shoulder and push him away even if he has the potential to become a really good friend. Am I warm or cold on this theory? I'm going with warm but I'm not abandoning the concept, or at least Joshua isn't.
Joshua might approach her, finding her attractive but then once he receives the cold shoulder he'll probably start believing what he's been hearing about her. Of course after that he would turn away, but maybe he doesn't? He could notice that she's putting up an act of sorts and then try to find out why? He'll keep at it most likely until she hexes him or just accepts him as a friend. That or something else?

Dominique && Josh Instinct would have her throw her defenses up, and if she tried anything, it would be just to bed him in a way to maintain the reputation that she wants, even if it's not something she actually wants to do. If he's observant he might notice her watching the sunset/sunrise each day, as she loves to do. If he notices her when she's doing her 'alone things' he'll see that she's more than just the mask she wears.
