Sven, physically, looks 32, which is the age he was when he was turned. Over the years since being turned his has gained a number of scars, especially from the earliest days of his vampire-hood, when, on several occasions, townspeople attempted to kill him or stake him out. Over time most of the scars have faded, but some will never completely disappear.
These days, he lives a respectable life and heads a well-to-do business, and as such he tends to dress accordingly, though he can pull of casual very easily. He's has enough money to afford any clothing he wants or needs at any given time. At times, however, he can come across as looking old fashioned, but what do you expect from someone over 900 years old?

Sven is the sort of person who can switch persona's as it suits him. Over his 900 years as a vampire he's done a little bit of everything, from the smart-mouthed bad boy act to the sophisticated businessman. He is whatever the situation needs him to be. He can switch from casual to strict in a heart beat if he has to. He's generally a no nonsense sort of guy, but he does know how to relax and have fun, too.
Over his years, he's done a little bit of everything, so there's really not a lot that can still surprise him, and he's faced down just about every horrible thing he can think of, too. For a guy who once successfully robbed Fort Knox, there doesn't seem to be a lot to be scared of. Admittedly, though, even now there's always a small, niggling fear that one day he's going to push the limits just a little too far, and end up a pile of ash and dust before he's even realized that he's stayed out too long.
These days, he runs a successful business, and he intends to continue running that business for a long time yet, though he is considering starting up another. He's enjoying his current, respectable life style, and is enjoying running his business, too. In his spare time he's been doing more work - the same work he started way back in 1064, working with Legilimency. Now, he's quite feeling the interest in teaching in some way, whether it be Legilimency, or some other thing, he doesn't mind. There are a great many things that Sven wants to do, and he has all the time in the world to do them all.

Early life:
Sven Aleksander Rabrenovich was born on 29th April 1045 to Beata and Aleksander Rabrenovich, in Kyiv. The world at the time was a turmoil of wars, the worst being the race wars that swamped Britain and Europe, with a lot of Anti-Creature laws and discrimination taking place. England and Western Europe was the worst for it, and many creatures fled eastward. Among those were a vast number of vampires who had benefited from the bloodshed and chaos the wars had stirred up. It was in Kyiv that one of these vampires found Aleksander, stumbling home drunk one evening. His feast became his fairground, and Aleksander joined the ranks of the living dead.
To avoid putting his family at risk, Aleksander fled back to his hometown of Moscow, living in the shadows and slowly coming to terms with the changes and the troubles he now faced. Beata, knowing how controlling and possessive Aleksander could be, took her young son and moved, relocating in Lutsk. It wasn't much of a move, but it would be much harder for Aleksander to find them again when he finally came to terms with being a vampire and decided he wanted his first and only son back. Beata was not about to allow her only child to be raised by a vampire, even if that vampire was once the man she loved - still did, in fact.
Beata's fears came true in 1049, when Sven was just four years old. She'd heard the rumors of a vampire in town, and despite added security, Aleksander slipped past her defense and took Sven in the dead of night, returning to Moscow with his beloved child and heir in his possessions. Aleksander had gained remarkable control over his vampire capabilities, and despite Aleksanders need for blood, Sven was never once at risk of being snacked upon. While Aleksander wanted his son in his possession, he did not intend to turn him into a vampire - certainly not at such a young age.
It took Beata almost two years to finally get into Moscow and hunt down Aleksander and Sven, and in the end, it was Sven's school record that led her to him, as Aleksander had acquired enough money, somehow, to pay for Sven's education. She tried to plea with Aleksander to allow her time with her son - allow her to be his mother once again, but Aleksander had turned cold towards the woman he once loved, and saw her as a threat. He wanted Sven to grow up strong, and such over protective emotions as Beata's would only hinder him. In the end, Beata intercepted her six year old on his way into school, and was on the next train out of Moscow.
Finally, she reached her parents home in Poznan and hid there, legally changing Sven's surname to her own to 'hide' him. Only, that was the first bad decision that she made. Aleksander was able to follow the paper chase straight to Poznan and it didn't take long for him to hunt down their family home. Beata's parents tried to fight Aleksander away while Beata and Sven fled, and it ultimately let to their untimely death. Alone and scared, Beata kept running as far as she could, and by any means possible, until she found herself in Bucharest. She settled down, certain that Aleksander would not think to search for them there, rather focus his attentions in Poland and Ukraine, and those areas in which they had lived previously.
For many years the pair were safe, and Sven manged to live a relatively normal life, even attending school, up until the age of 11 when he was due to start studying to be a wizard, thanks to Beata's witch blood that she had kept secret from Aleksander. Beata lived constantly looking over her shoulder, and Sven could never really understand why they kept running. He knew, of course, that his father was a vampire, and his mother spoke of it often, but having spent the better part of two years living with his father, he didn't see what was so wrong with him that kept them running from him. The way he saw it, his father might not be the most emotional man, but he had been a good enough father, and Sven had everything he had needed or wanted in the time he'd lived in Moscow. To some extent, Sven resented his mothers' interference.
School Years (1057 - 1063)
When he was eleven, Sven received a place in Durmstang School of Magic in Bulgaria, and it came as a great relief. He was away from it all - his mother, her paranoia, and her insistence that one day his father would hunt him down. Inside the walls of the school, he was safe... at first.
At school, Sven managed to make friends with a number of boys there, and to some he shared a dorm with, he opened up about his past - moving from place to place, constantly avoiding his vampire father. The other boys hadn't made comment on his vampire father, until two years later when the uprisings really began to effect Eastern Europe. Once the uprisings and anti-creature feelings picked up in Bulgaria, anyone in the school associated with a creature in any way came under attack. His once-friends turned on him, making sure that everyone in the school knew of his 'tainted' blood, despite the fact his father was turned after Sven was born.
Over the years, the anti-creature uprisings grew worse, and so did the attitudes towards associates within the school. Most were bullied, but some, like Sven, were not the sort to slink into the shadows and be made to hide. His remaining five years at the school was filled with fights and duels, and his professors were more than willing to place the blame on him and give him harsher punishments that others, because they were equally as anti-creature as most of the students were.
During his final two years, Sven took a particular interest in the Dark Arts, not because he wanted to be known for dark magic, but simply because some of it was stronger and more dangerous than any of the spells they'd learned in class, and he would need to be able to defend himself. If the reaction of those in the school was anything to go by, leaving school was going to be a lot worse. Despite the shared opinions, the Professors could only allow things to go so far without intervening, then then they had to break things up. Out of school, there'd be no one to stop things getting out of hand. Sven also spent a lot of his spare time improving himself physically, so no matter whether he was fighting with fists or with wands, he was always capable of fighting back.
After school
After leaving school, Sven refused to return home to his mother, and instead headed straight out on his own, going up to live in a coastal town in Estonia for a year, and living a very quiet, secluded life to stay off the radar from both his mother and his father. He spent the year studying, pouring over books and documents, improving his repertoire of spells, of all kinds. He also began to form a growing interest in the art of infusing magic into objects. He would spent much of his days along the quieter areas of the coast, surrounded by books, equipt with his wand, and completely absorbed in whatever it was he was working on.
His stay in Tallinn didn't last more than a year before he came to accept that he needed to work if he wanted to get by, and job opportunities in Estonia were few and hardly beneficial to someone with ambition and drive. It was hearing about a possible job opportunity in the Russian Ministry for Magic that had Sven heading for St. Petersburg, where he worked in a very secretive department, unable to discuss his work with anyone outside of the office. He worked on a number of projects at once, and one of the projects that interested him the most was the one that explored the true power of legillimency, and the true possibilities that could be achieved through using it. After some internal chaos and corruption, the department landed in turmoil and the projects fell apart. Sven took the files he could gather on legillimency and left Russia.
He wound up in Stavanger where he once again fell into a solitary life, spending much time on his studies, but this time, concentrating on enhancing his use of Legillimency, and continuing the project started within the Russian Ministry independently. He was free from restrictions, and while he did not always follow ethical lines in his experimenting, he saw the positives of learning as far outweighing the negatives of ethics, and the harm that may or may not have been caused to his 'subjects'.
Despite living out of the way in Norway, Sven kept a close eye on the news, always making sure he knew what was going on with the creatures and uprisings, and whatever new changes were taking place. It was in 1067, when Bulgaria laws changed, that Sven decided to get further away to avoid the inevitable conflicts that were going to arise from Bulgaria's changing policies, and those of the countries that decided to follow suit.
Sven found himself on a small island off the coast of Scotland, living among a primarily muggle community, but that didn't bother him at all. He liked small and he liked coastal, and Rothesay offered both. He continued to work independently for a number of months before finally feeling ready to take up a job in England and work on his career. Despite his love for small and coastal, Sven moved into central London, taking up a job within the Department of Mysteries.
His previous work experience in the Russia Ministry set him up nicely for the job, and he knuckled down and worked hard, quickly gaining rank and status within the department. After a couple of years, city life was starting to hold him back, and he opted to move out of the capital, living instead in Dover, and returning to his old comfort - the coast.
When Sven was twenty nine, the Head of the Department of Mysteries was retiring, and needed a replacement. Despite not being the most qualified for the job when placed next to some of the others who worked there, Sven was determined to get the job, and lead the Department. All those years of refining and building his legillimency skill came in useful, and across a period of time, Sven tweaked and altered the memories of not only the department head, but also those closest to him, until which point they believed that he was the most suitable for the part - more so than any of the rest of them. The position fell easily into his hands.
Although not usually one to manipulate his way through life, he couldn't pass up on the chance to better his position, and did what he had to do to get he job he desired. Sven continued to live a secluded life, never bothering with relationships, and barely bothering to even for friendships with anyone at all, merely acquaintances. Getting close to people risked them finding out his past, and his relationship to a Vampire. Britain was in a dark time and there were many attacks happening, but it was still safer than the blood-slaughter that was plaguing Eastern Europe.
When Sven was thirty two he was met with a surprise when his father appeared in Britain, and to say their meeting was tense would be an understatement. Aleksander wanted Sven to return to Moscow and take up his place as his heir, even though Aleksander was at no risk of a fast demise. Aleksander actually wanted to raise an army of vampires to rise up against the humans that killed and tortured all of creature-kind, and the very thought disgusted Sven. In anger, Aleksander attacked his only son, turning him into the one thing he hoped never to become - a vampire.
Early Vampire Years
When Sven was first turned he'd been drained to the point of death and left. His body was reported to the Ministry as a vampire killing and as such they accepted that their Head of Department was deceased, and the absence of his body when they arrived at the scene was not questioned - body snatches were common place at the time. That, or some gang who called themselves vampire hunters may have taken the body to stake him out if they noticed he was the result of a vamp's feeding frenzy, just to ensure he was properly dead and not the undead.
In reality, Sven had woken and instinct had taken over. He'd fled the scene and ran for cover, struggling with the initial shock and pain as his body changed into something more than human. As the night deepened, he'd fed and his ability to control his new found blood urge had been next to nil - he'd drained his victim dry then moved onto another. By time dawn threatened, he'd sucked 6 people dry. It cleared his blood hunger and his mind, and shame set in, causing him to flee. Sven found himself in a forest and dug himself a small burrow in the dirt to hide out the day. He didn't sleep - didn't feel the need to sleep - just thought about everything. Already, self loathing was setting in.
There was no way that he could stay in London, so Sven began to use his nights to travel northwards, stopping into various towns and villages along the way to feed. His blood hunger controlled him when it reared, and he had little control over it. Many a body marked the trail of his passing until he reached the very peaks of Scotland, and even that wasn't far enough - he fled across to a nearby island with very few residents, and most that were there were farmers. In no time at all, those farmers were nothing more than corpses, and with no more humans around to harm, the shame of being such a murderer finally settled.
Sven was adamant he wasn't going to feed again - he wasn't going to kill again - but as the hunger grew his control slipped, and he turned to the cattle that the farms held. There were plenty of cattle across the whole island to keep a lone vampire's thirst quenched for a long time, and over the next 8 months Sven did his utmost to learn how to stop feeding when he'd had enough, and slowly but surely he started to leave living sheep behind him once he'd fed. It was a further year of living in complete solitude and learning to control his new-found instincts before he finally ventured from the island to face the real world once again.
In 1079 he finally crossed back to mainland Scotland, believing that he had control of his blood urges and he was safe. As soon as he was faced with humanity, however, he lost control, and more bodies were left behind. He'd been seen and chased by villagers, wounded, and almost killed. Somehow, he managed to get out alive - or as alive as the undead can be - and he fled once more. This time, after much travelling, he ended up in the mountainous areas of north Greenland, living in solitude once more. That is, until he came across a tribe of some sort. He didn't understand a word of what they were saying, yet somehow it was obvious to him that they knew how to help him.
The would offer up a tribe member for him to feed on, and if he didn't stop feeding when he was told, they would forcibly remove him, usually leaving behind a few bruises and the odd concussion. With time and practice, Sven learnt to control his feeding and only take what he needed. He learned the language, too, and was able to live successfully within the tribe for many, many years. In fact, he lived with them for almost sixty years until the tribe was attacked by invaders and most killed. Then, he and a girl - a tribal girl who he'd fallen in love with, despite having watched her from from a babe - fled the destruction that was left behind, and moved south through Greenland. Sven managed to steal 'normal' clothes for them to wear, but the girl still looked like the tribal girl she was, and treated as such. One night, Sven thought it would be safe to leave the young woman alone where they had been staying, while he went out to feed on a different source of blood. He came back to find her dead - another vampire was in town.
He hung around to try and find the vampire that had killed the woman he loved but whoever he was, he'd already moved on. When Sven left Greenland in 1140, it was once again alone, confused, and uncertain about what the future held. He couldn't return to Europe as the whole of the continent was still a mass of fear and uprisings, but he couldn't remain in Greenland, either. Added to that, he was still far too young in vampire years to be able to deal with any sunlight, it was incredibly difficult for him to know what to do or where to go. For the next 100 years, he lived a nomadic lifestyle, drifting from one place to another, usually following the winter across the globe, where nights were longer and days shorter.
In 1254, Sven finally returned to London, and for lack of anything better to do, he took up grave digging - something he was actually very good at considering he had the strengths and skills of a vampire behind him. He would then sell the bodies he dug up and making a small fortune along the way. After a number of years of this, Sven was finally feeling like his was capable of being part of society once again, and stopped fearing what others thought of him.
Throughout the years, Sven did a little bit of everything - one minute playing respectable gentleman, the next robbing Fort Knox, traveling wherever he pleased, occasionally changing his name along the way. Whatever he did, he was gathering great wealth, and experiences unlike any he could ever have gained in his mortal, human years. The longer he was vampire, the more he grew to appreciate it and everything it gave him.
As the 1900's drew in, Sven returned to a respectable life style, and he fought in both World Wars, before eventually setting himself on a different career path in Muggle London... He opened an airline. Yes, the wizard turned Vampire ran an airline service. Who'd have thought? His business quickly become one of the leading airlines in the business, and even though Sven uses different people to act as the face of the company, he is the one ultimately in charge.
Sven, now over 900 years old in Vampire years, has much more tolerance to the sun that what he used to have, and so can withstand a certain amount of daylight during early morning, and late evening, and if the weather is really, really bad, he can sometimes move around all day - but it has to be incredibly bad for that.
