Inside the castle walls, students return to the familiar routine of the school year; 9am classes, and dorm room gossip, while outside the castle walls the world becomes more and more unpredictable. War is looming. Terror is lurking. Fear is waiting. And one man can not keep reality from breaching the walls... Now everyone is being pressured to pick sides...
Each year, it is the job of the Hogwarts Prefects and Head Students to plan and organize events around the school.
This Halloween, they have opted for a Haunted House experience on the grounds!
Upon exiting the castle, you will be greeted by a low lying fog, separating into a clear path
that leads you to a dilapidated house, with the trees of the Forbidden forest looming behind it.
Many horrors await you inside of the Haunted House of Horrors!
There is, of course, a catch! The Marauders (courtesy of the fact that James and Remus have been involved in the planning!)
have taken this opportunity to add a few extra tricks, treats, and scares to the house, so tread carefully within.
This is, optionally, a dice game to keep things exciting! More info will be provided.
Giant Pumpkin Carving!
It simply wouldn't be Halloween without Hagrid's giant pumpkins! This year, however, it's up to the students to get
involved in carving some pumpkins up. Battle through the fog and make your way to the Gamekeeper's Hut - you'll
recognize it for it's orange glow. All the tools and carving equpitment you need are waiting for you, so don't
miss your chance to create a pumpkin masterpiece!
Candy Costume Party!
Halloween requires costumes. It also requires sweets and candy. Therefore, it's only right we throw a candy costume party!
This year, Honeydukes are providing the treats - all of your familiar favorites and a few new, slightly bizarre ones
to try out.
Slugs, Bugs, Warts, and Bones, whether you want a Slimy Slug Sour, or a Freaky Finger Fruit Pop, Honeydukes
has provided everything your could ask for!
So put on your best costume and work up a sweet tooth, then join us in the Great Hall for a Sugar and Spice,
All Things Scary and Nice Candy Costume Dance!

Elizabeth Molly Frank
Full Name: Elizabeth Molly Frank
Nickname: Lizzie (but only to close friends)
Birthday: June 19
Home Town: Sawbridgeworth
Wand Wood: Rowan
Wand Core: Unicorn Hair
Jo. 20 USA
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Brown
Height/Build: 5'2", curvy
Play-By: Jenna Louise Coleman
Elizabeth has brown hair that falls just past her shoulders, and she usually just has it loose, except in the greenhouses, where she’ll put it back in a ponytail. She’s rather short and has a few curves. When she smiles, there are dimples in her cheeks, and she blushes easily. She has a scar at the nape of her neck that she usually hides with her hair or a scarf. Her lower lip is usually a bit chapped from her habit of gnawing on it, and sometimes she’ll have small bite marks on her thumb knuckle, from when she gave up on her lip.
She likes to wear bright colors and sometimes pastels, but more often her clothes will be vibrant. She doesn’t have any particular style but prefers to find something simple and comfortable that still looks pretty. She’ll sometimes wear simple jewelry, like a necklace or small gold earrings.
Likes: Muggle science fiction, being outside on quiet days, chocolate, listening to people talk, being "little-sistered", singing when she thinks no one can hear her, playing the flute, helping without being noticed, reading about wizarding history, hugs
Dislikes: Sitting through double class periods, feeling like she's complaining, getting lots of attention, white bread, being ignored when she actually wants to be noticed, dressing up, embarrassing herself by being late, having friends in danger, fighting, having to rely on luck, high places
Positive Traits: Studious, pleasant, observant
Negative Traits: Acrophobia, rather shy, tends to minimize herself
Quirks/Habits: Elizabeth toys with her jewelry when she's nervous. She also bites her lower lip when she thinks and tends to trail off if she thinks she's being ignored or embarrassing herself.
Best/Worst Class: BEST: depends on her mood WORST: Flying
Elizabeth is quiet and reserved. She has grown accustomed to being either in the background or treated like everyone’s little sister. During her time at Hogwarts, she started to grow out of that and into her own person, but there are still times when she retreats inside herself. However, she is aware of the world and very observant, even if she doesn’t show it. She tends to only have a few close friends, and even those don’t know everything about her. She is a little musical and can play the flute and a little guitar and piano. She is good at school but tends to have only a passing interest in her classes. Her attention will wander every few months or sometimes every few weeks. She is very pacifistic and would probably try to avoid fighting even Voldemort if she could, but, if pushed, she would make a fierce opponent. The only reason she would fight would be to protect others.
Bithplace: County Hospital, Sawbridgeworth
Current Residence: Sawbridgeworth
Parents: Ava Frank/41/pureblood/housewife Gabriel Frank/42/pureblood/Healer
Others: Victor Albert, her cousin
Pet: Prometheus, a barn owl
Elizabeth grew up around her extended family. There weren’t very many cousins, and as she was the youngest child and only girl, all her aunts and uncles babied her. Her favorite cousin was Victor Albert, who was two years older than she was. He treated her like an equal, even if he was very protective of her. When they were very little they pretended to be married, and even after he left Hogwarts they kept in correspondence.
Her worst memory is from shortly after Victor left. She was climbing a tree in the backyard and fell. She wasn’t seriously hurt, but she still has a scar on her shoulder and ever after was afraid of heights.
She came to Hogwarts two years after Victor did, and it took her a while to get used to everything. The older students thought she was rather cute, but she didn’t make many friends in her own year until spring. Her friends have tended to come and go through the years, and though she and Victor tried not to spend as much time together as they had so she could make friends with others, she still sometimes dropped by the Ravenclaw table or hung around their dormitory so she could say “Hello”.
She was at first disappointed to be Sorted into Hufflepuff, but Victor convinced her that she would do better there than anywhere else. After her first year, she agreed that she certainly wouldn’t fit in to the other Houses, but she still sometimes wanted to be a Ravenclaw so she would know someone in her House. She keeps largely to herself, and while she does drop by a few clubs, she never becomes a full member.

Elizabeth flipped through her textbook. She knew she ought to be working, but her thoughts kept returning to Victor’s most recent letter. He had joined in the fight against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, and she couldn’t help wondering if he would survive. Words from the letter kept coming back to her mind, replacing the details of thirteenth century Germany.
Don’t worry about me, Lizzie. I don’t plan on dying any time soon.
I have to admit, I almost miss that old place. Remember when I accidentally lit part of the Lake on fire?
I know they say they need everyone they can find, and that’s why I went. But, Lizzie, please, for God’s sake, don’t come. I couldn’t stand the thought of you out there. Find somewhere to hide and stay safe.
She closed the book and got to her feet. Suddenly the library seemed thick and stuffy, and she could hardly breathe. Her cousin was out there, the one who had treated her like a little sister for as long as she could remember, and she was doing nothing but studying. An urge to act, to fight, welled up inside her, and she was frightened of herself.
